The Toronto Commandery Foundation Inc. is a non-denominational, non-sectarian public charitable foundation, registered under the laws of Canada. It was initiated by members of the Toronto Commandery of the Military and Hospitaller Order of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem.

From 1973 to 2005, through the generosity of its members, fundraising events and individual donations, the Toronto Commandery has raised and donated over $600,000 to charitable palliative and hospice care facilities and programs within the Greater Toronto community and Ontario.  As our general population ages, the need for additional End-Of-Life care, support services and facilities grows. In order to continue to adequately meet the growing needs within our communities, members of the Toronto Commandery of The Order of Saint Lazarus established The Toronto Commandery Foundation Inc. in 2004. Through this new public foundation, members of the Toronto Commandery – Order of St. Lazarus will continue their charitable community efforts in support of palliative and hospice care.
